Southwest Missouri was formed in 2004. We are a dual Club, both AKC and UKC.
Our Primary Goal is to Help Members train their Retrievers
in the Goal of Preservation of Game
We were organized for the purpose of encouraging and promoting the role of pure-bred retrievers as hunting dogs and to provide a vehicle for retriever handlers to improve their skills and their education and working knowledge of retriever breeds in gun dog and hunt test competitons. Also to provide an atmosphere of companionship between retriever owners, handlers and to encourage sportsmanlike competition at all events.
To conduct sanctioned and licensed AKC/UKC Hunting Tests and Field Trials under the rules and regulations of the American Kennel Club and United Kennel Club.
